The evolution of the ESL teacher

Congratulations on researching into the possibility of living a independent, self sufficient life, free of that supervisor and the 9-5 slog.

(DISCLAIMER) Now certainly teaching online isn't for everyone, I know who would have thought it! A company that stands to gain from individuals training and recruitment with them, beginning a blog post by discouraging its readers and potential customers. After-all who is going to serve you a cappuccino or provide you with mind numbing clerical work to do if we all suddenly decided too work anytime, anywhere on any device.

Why teach online?
Fundamental challenges face the tradition language learning process. The rapid changes of emerging technologies effect the habits of our students and ultimately our customers. So put simply ADAPT or DIE.

How much work is there?

How many hours are there in a day? According to the British Council, one of the largest providers of English classes in the world, approximately 1.7 billion people are currently learning English worldwide .That will rise to 2 billion by 2020.
Make your own schedule, make as much as you want, when you want.

How long will it take for me to establish myself?
How many hours are you willing to put in? You will be rewarded for the hours you put in,Why climb the corporate ladder, when you can create your own ladder?
Customized work vs pre-defined work.

How much can I earn teaching English online?

Work remotely Teaching English as a Foreign Language, anywhere in the world online. English teacher salaries are typically, though not always, paid in US dollars and should be viewed through the prism of the local cost of living. This means that an English teacher earning $1,000 a month in Peru will enjoy the same standard of living as a teacher in Madrid earning 2000 Euro because while the teacher in Madrid earns more in absolute terms, the cost of living is higher in Spain.

Europe and Latin America - English teacher salaries abroad in these regions typically allow native English teachers to live comfortably in an apartment, cover basic expenses, dine out, travel by public transportation and have some extra money to travel and pursue other interests. In most cases, first-time English teacher salaries will not enable you to save extensive sums, but in both regions, private lessons are in high demand and provide excellent opportunities for English teachers to earn additional income.

Asia - English teacher salaries will typically enable you to save between 30%-50% of your salary after expenses, which can range from $200-$300 a month in a country like Thailand to $100 or more a month in continental Europe. The range in savings will be determined in part by your salary compared to the local cost of living and by the exchange rate between US Dollars or (whatever your native currency is) and the local currency in which you will be paid.

I loved hearing the success stories from the people who joined my program, and even those of you who didn’t.

Although, it is true that some people did not find it that easy to:
  • Find a job in a good company.
  • Get paid a decent rate per hour.
  • Have success and earn a good amount to live off fully.

Now, because I am a recruiter. I see hundreds of applications a month. Hundreds! I know exactly the things that will prevent people from moving forward with ease in this industry. There are 5 core things that will cause you some difficulty.  Make yourself aware of them and then you can try dissolve them to the best of your abilities. (Some of them you can’t dissolve, in which case you need to work harder in other areas such as your application) ..............................................
